Readers may recognize the name of Greg DeMars from his recent article in the Society Newsletter on his law clerk service for G. Mennen Williams. After graduating from Wayne State University (first, with a B.S. with High Distinction in 1977, then a Master’s in Public Administration in 1979, and finally a J.D. Magna Cum Laude in 1981), Greg started his legal career in the chambers of Chief Justice Williams in 1981. Over his two years of service, he worked with the Chief Justice “on 15 of his published opinions,” including Attorney General v Michigan Public Service Commission and People v Esters. After departing the Court, Greg was hired by the Honigman Law Firm, where he practiced for over thirty years before retiring in 2016.
Having been a member of the Society since its inception, Greg joined the Board in 2017.
