The Board of Directors is currently comprised of twenty-two members of Michigan’s legal community, from corporate attorneys to retired justices to sitting judges to small firm attorneys to the head of the State Bar of Michigan.
This group reviews the Society’s finances and investments, selects nominees for awards and the law student prizes, commissions oral history interviews, reviews and approves every publication, writes articles, and many other tasks and duties.
These directors are also volunteers, taking time away from their busy careers and personal lives to support the mission of the Society and increase the public awareness of Michigan’s legal heritage.
