A senior shareholder of the law firm of Plunkett and Cooney, Mary has served on the Historical Society’s Board of Directors since 1997, and is the first (and only) First Chair of the Advocates Guild since its inception in 2007.
Mary is a frequent appellate advocate at the Michigan Supreme Court handling or supervising over 400 appeals that resulted in approximately 150 published opinions (including over 100 appeals in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals).
Mary has been repeatedly acknowledged as one of the top 100 lawyers, top 50 business lawyers, top 25 women business lawyers, top 50 female lawyers, and top appellate law practitioners by Michigan Super Lawyers.
Mary has two grown children and two grown bonus children as well as ten grandchildren.
